Faith-Integrated Coaching

Your Foundation Matters First

I lost 135 pounds. But that number… it’s not really what changed everything.

What changed was getting clear on my foundation. Not a program. Not a diet. But understanding who I actually am. My values. My beliefs. Where my character comes from. What shapes my identity.

I spent years thinking the right structure or the right approach would eventually make everything fall into place. What I came to understand is that food struggles, fitness struggles, body struggles… they’re not really about food or fitness or bodies at all. They’re foundation problems. Because when the foundation is right… everything else has somewhere solid to land.

That foundation is knowing:

  • What you actually value.
  • Where your beliefs come from.
  • Who you’re becoming.
  • What shapes your character and behavior.
  • What kind of identity you’re building.

For me, faith is where I found the clearest answers to those questions. Scripture gave me a lens to understand my own values, my beliefs about who I am, what I’m made for, and how I want to show up in the world. And when I work with clients who are open to it, I use that same lens. Scripture and spiritual principles become tools for getting honest about what you actually value and who you’re becoming.

But here’s what matters: This is about getting to the root of who you are so the rest of your transformation can actually land somewhere solid.

What This Perspective Looks Like

My faith informs how I see transformation. Not as separate from nutrition and fitness… but as foundational to it. I studied Human Performance and Nutrition at Liberty University, where biblical principles weren’t separate from the coursework. They were woven through every study, helping me understand the deeper “why” behind choices and behavior.

This means we approach your body, your health, and your choices differently than diet culture teaches. Not trying to fix something broken in you… but learning to steward something that was already called good. No shame. No condemnation. Just clarity on your values and grace applied to real life.

It means understanding that foundation comes first, everything else second.

That self-control isn’t willpower… it’s about alignment with what you actually value.

That your thoughts shape your choices based on what you believe about yourself.

That consistency matters more than perfection.

That daily faithfulness to your values is where real transformation actually lives.
