All-Or-Nothing Mentality with Eating

The pendulum swing analogy has been one of my favorites to explain the all-or-nothing behavior that I have seen (and experienced myself) with eating habits.

If we pull too far to one side, the release that eventually comes can swing us rapidly in the other direction. This all-or-nothing thinking can trap us in a neverending swing back and forth.

But if we can pull less in one direction, the swing gets shorter and shorter. The habits are more sustainable and do not rely as much on things like willpower and discipline. They just become a part of the norm.

Shorten the swing, my friend ♥️
